One more weekend of the Bedford Art Show. I’m so happy to have sold almost all my small works on paper. My paintings are still on display if you plan to go this coming weekend but they are hard to see in very dim light 😦 It’s a nice show with lots of talented artists represented.
Happy to be back in the studio and painting again. My latest little painting of “Winter Fields” at Ward Pound Ridge has already sold! So life is returning to a quiet routine….with daily painting. I’m looking forward to some new snow paintings!
A big freeze is coming! Stay warm…mittens, scarves, at hot tea is required 😉
Classes start next week! Time to start thinking of your Fall subjects 🙂 What do want to see in front of you on your drawing table…small subjects, large subjects, colorful subjects, leaves, grasses, pods, or something from the farmers market. Take the time to be aware of what’s around you and what catches your eye….apples, crabapples, magnolia pods….it’s all around you :O)
Check schedules and times in the “Classes” section and remember we are back at Ward Pound Ridge Reserve ❤️ See you next week!
My painting of The Pump House at Stone House this summer, I’ve loved this subject for years!
Our botanical art show is ready to go 🙂 The opening is from noon to 4pm this Saturday! Anyone in the area is invited to join us. Many of the artists and their friends and family will be attending. The show will be up for a month so if you can’t make the opening please drop by and see the show another day….Ward Pound Ridge is especially beautiful this time of year, come for a walk and enjoy the day 🙂
Please drop off your art work next week at the WPA Gallery. The gallery is the stone building to the right of the gate at the entrance to Ward Pound Ridge Reserve. You can drop off you work from October 28th-31st.
Click on the pdf file below for labels to attach to your art work. Print out the labels and attach securely to each one of your art works. I will also have labels with me in class.
Looking forward to seeing everyone next week 🙂 Ward Pound Ridge is in full early fall beauty!
For those returning please start looking for subjects that inspire you and bring them to class. For new students just bring your supplies for drawing as seen on the supply list. Don’t forget we are having classes in the afternoons from 1-4pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 10-1pm on Saturdays. Classes will be held in the Nature Museum. When you arrive at the gate just let them know you are in the class so you can enter without a park fee.
