Our friend Marie is having a one woman show!

Many of you have had classes with my friend and student Marie Milbrandt.  This Saturday at The Crabtree Kittle House there will be a one woman show of her art work.  She is an artist with many loves, watercolor, color pencil, and oil painting.  Her niece is hosting this lovely event and it is opened to all who would like to attend.  It will be June 22 from 1-4, the following link will give you all the information you need to find her exhibit.

Finally sun!

We made it to the farm this past Tuesday and will be going again this coming Tuesday (June 25th from 9-noon).  After this Tuesday we will go back to every other Tuesday.  Linsay has kindly offered to allow people to stay and draw as long as they like after the class has finished….so if you think you want to make more of a day of it bring some lunch :O)

The farm is already bursting with lovely veggies and flowers…a little piece of heaven.

Garlic scapes
Roses and clematis boarder the garden gate
Manx kitty hunting on top of rock
A great use for a rusty wheelbarrow
Veggies and blossoms a little piece of heaven

Kitchawan Farm

Lots of different things will be going on at Kitchawan Farm this summer.  Here’s a link to events at the farm…enjoy :O)

Hoping that the massive rain storm that is once again coming our way will move on by Friday morning….crossing fingers!

Supplies for drawing on the farm….

Watercolor paper journal or pad.  Comfortable size to carry…and work on in you lap or holding in your hands.  If you want to participate in the art show at the end of the summer you may want to use a pad with removable pages.  If you are not going to play with watercolors than regular sketch journal or pad will be fine.

Micron fine tip pen (black) tip  o1, 02, 03 are good choices :0)  Click on chart for a clear image….

If you want to play with color bring some water color color pencils and a Water Brush Pen…ready to go (filled with water).

These supplies are available at local art stores and craft stores.

Bring water for drinking and a camp chair or camp stool for sitting.  There is a lovely picnic table under a large tree which is also a shady place to get out of the sun and draw :O)
