Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all ♡

November 20, 2012by jizogarden1 Comment on Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all ♡

I’ve been working on my corn and hope to have it finished by the time classes resume next week.  Still working on the husks and doing a bit of fine tuning.

Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving full of good food and good company ♡

Class is over for the day. I am so thankful for my students and that they have stuck with me...even virtually. Connection is so important during isolation...I am very lucky and grateful 🙏
Wonderful session with Clive Myrie BBC correspondent and artist Kayoon Anderson on Portrait Artist of the Week. Oil on paper #mypaotw
Another good day, another perfect stick 🐶❤️🐶
Exploring more woodblock printing this morning. I got some Caligo Safe Wash inks (no black in stock, must be patient). Love these inks!!!!! So easy to work with and a breeze to clean :) Looking forward to inks on order. I am just printing on old papers to get a feel for things.
So happy that PAOTW is back! Been working all week trying to capture Nicola Coughlan...loved hearing about her life. Big fan of Derry Girls and Bridgeton and her wonderful character in both. I put a bit of Ireland over her shoulders. #mypaotw #nicolacoughlan
Yesterday painted a quick study of the local Cape Cod jazz/blues artist Steve Morgan in a zoom studio session. Nice to be painting with people even if it’s via Zoom :). This was painted on a previous image that is ghosting through ... don’t mind the effect ;)
