Put on your thinking caps……

The new session will be starting in a few weeks.  For those of you who are returning to classes with some sessions behind you I want you to start thinking now about what you would like to accomplish between the first week of classes and the Christmas break.  If you think in groupings it may be useful…maybe a series of 3 to 5 related pieces. Think of relationships, leaves, acorns, pinecones, plant families like hollies, gourds, pumpkins….start thinking.  Once you have found a group of subjects that inspires you, you are on your way!  With a direction you will not find yourself staring at the walls wondering what to paint or draw 😉

If a series doesn’t excite you think of a larger subject that you would like to spend several weeks on.  Be sure when you choose a subject like this you can find fresh samples throughout the time you are working on your subject.  Remember to photograph your subject in natural light when it is at it’s peak.

So start looking around and let the season inspire you, no blank stares on the first day of class 🙂

For my newcomers….just bring your supplies, your enthusiasm and get ready to enjoy yourselves!

Saturday class….very important….first Saturday will be at Pound Ridge…refer to post prior to this for details.

Enjoy these last few weeks of summer……

First Saturday Class Important!

The first Saturday class on September 22nd, from 10-1:00, will be at Pound Ridge Reserve in the Trailside Nature Museum.  When you arrive at the entrance gate of the reserve let the person at the gate know you are in the class and you will be allowed in without an entrance fee =)  All the remaining classes of the session will be at Lasdon Arboretum.  I’m sure looking forward to the end of August and the cool crisp air of Fall ♥
