Beautiful Photograph of an egg….by Sharon Montrose

As many of you know I have been spending a lot of time on the web site Etsy. This photograph is one of many beautiful pieces I found on display. If you would like to see more of this artists work go to http://SharonMontrose.etsy.com

Although this egg is lit from several light sources (I count 3 =o) but the beauty of form is so simple and flawless.

Spring is finally here, sure looking forward to the gardens breaking through the winter ground.

Happy Spring to all =)

Couldn’t resist sharing this artist….

Martin Johnson Heade (August 11, 1819-September 4, 1904) was a prolific American painter known for his salt marsh landscapes, seascapes, portraits of tropical birds, and still lifes.
His painting style and subject matter, while derived from the romanticism of the time, is regarded by art historians as a significant departure from that of his peers. He was first taught by his father, Paul Joosten Wouwerman, an historical painter of moderate ability. According to a contemporary account he had also studied with Frans Hals (1581/85-1666).
